Heya,
I'm trying to get some pictures from my computer onto my HTC Magic handset. I googled this and some people have said Bluetooth dosn't recieve files??? So can I go on GoogleMail and download the pictures of there? And how do I do that? Will it cost me anything, as I've got free internet for the first month, but they said nothing about download limits/charges etc thanks! x |

If you have free internet then you can download from GMail fine, I think the limit is 500MB a month or something? I'm not too sure bout Vodafone's tariff as I am not with them...
However if you wanted to bluetooth then go to the market and search for Bluetooth File Transfer and install it. It'll work like a charm -------------------- "Can happiness be achieved without sacrifice?"

Welcome! Just to add, Bluetooth is totally free. Bluetooth is a type of wireless technology so you will not be charged for sending pictures, music or any other type of media to one another, so rest easy

You only have free internet for a month? Be carefull, you could get hammered in month 2 as the phone is "on the internet" constantly in the background.

For transfering pictures, why not just use the supplied USB cable?

Hello Evertonised
Welcome to the eForum I'm confident the answers provided by our forum members have helped, it's the place for information as always. Your internet package should be enough to cover any images you wish to download via email, I find sending yourself an email with a picture attachments is the easiest way, you can then save the picture when opening the email via your phone. For more information on the Magic I would bookmark the respective page on our Help Centre (if you haven't already done so), Thanks Reidar eFOrum Team -------------------- |

@Timbo, you can use the USB cable as it could be easier for mass transfer, but having Bluetooth is handy to be able to send media to other handsets as well or your computer without the need for cables.
As for Data sync, you can turn that off in the Settings so you don't use the internet at all and just use it as a normal mobile phone. -------------------- "Can happiness be achieved without sacrifice?"
