i expect i am the last to know about this but i discovered it by accident after using the phone for a couple of weeks and now i use it every day... thought it might be handy to share... if you are using the sony ericsson theme for home page and you have the date and time just above the long music shortcut then if you hit the date and time it takes you to the alarm setting page.... much easier than using the main menu or even the last page on the right with clock as a shortcut... |

I've managed to do this accidentally a couple of times, but I couldn't figure out how!
Many thanks for that - it's the small things which help I'm now going to start a new thread to see if I can gain shortcut access to my bluetooth ... |

you can, i've figured that out! accidentally also!
if you have bluetooth running, tap on the bluetooth logo along the top (its kinda small, so need to be accurate. i usually end up hitting the bookmarks tab as its so close). click on bluetooth from there, and it takes you straight to the main bluetooth menu. |

I almost called you a legend Pete, but it all went buuuuuuuuuuuur as I read further into your post! I'm looking for a shortcut to access my bluetooth when it's turned off - i.e. easy access to turn it on. |

Only reason I keep it off is to save battery life - maybe I'll just leave it on & keep it hidden. My Pioneer stereo has built in bluetooth, but I found that it caused too much of an echo when I tried to use it ... hence why I bought a headset. What stereo are you using, & do your callers hear any echo feedback from your speakers? |

its a sony one, no idea of the model number or anything, i've had it around 2 years now i think. i don't use it to call very often, mainly used for streaming music for the kids when they're in the car, but i don't recall anyone ever mentioning a problem when i have used it to make/receive a call. i've used it with 3 different phones (all SE models) since i've had it, and don't think i've had any problems with call quality with it.

I've never thought of using my phone to stream music to my stereo via bluetooth as I have a dedicated iPod kit for my Pioneer stereo - seems like a nice option to have available though

thats pretty much the reason i bought the stereo! seemed a better option than paying thru the nose to have a multi-changer installed, it means i can carry loads of music with me, all of the time. keeps the kids happy! plus, its handy for making the occasional call. and the sat-nav on the c905 used to route the turn-by-turn direction voice thru the stereo too. quite a handy piece of kit!
