true, but i also thaught the TP is discontinued by VF, i could be wrong on that. no, its a touch pro 2. I just got it DPD take forever, i have a £100/mo bill and i still had to pay an excess of £60. If you are on less than £50/mo (average incl overspend) you will be looking at around £150excess... with good bartering. I would advise you to ring upgrades for more info. Ring 191, opt 3, opt 2 Steve |

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
vodafone have ruined it..... they have turned the home screen red! it looks awful and there is NO way to change the coulor scheme of it!. I have no idea what to do.... do i return it within my 7 days? I am appauled at what vodafone have done, and they will NEVER listen to us. This has gone one step further than the touch pro, it is a discrace! |

i just rang the upgrades people and they said they had no information about it at all, so where did you go to get yours? It's here on the business coming soon page, but only 'register interest' is available... http://www.vodafonebusinessshop.co.uk/PhonesComingSoon.html Weird how the upgrade people have no info though... |

Here is the picture (of me and my voda branded htc touch pro 2). And the useless LOCKED colour scheme for touch flo 3d! i wouldnt expect vodafone to do anything other than ruin it. other than the apaling skin how does the phone actually function. the TP1 was crippled straight out of the box, the TP2 cant be as bad as that. if you decide against sending it back head over to XDA Developers, there will be plenty of tweaks in the Topaz section once the TP2 becomes more widely available. If you do decide to return it youve got 14 days but make your mind up quickly. vodafone will ignore you until your 14 days has expired like they did with me and, judging by posts all around this forum, like they have ignored many people until their 14 days have expired and you get stuck with a dud phone for 18 months. all i can say is good luck. |

Hey Guys, We do take into consderation all feedback from all of our customers and feed this information back for future developments in relation to future handset releases, whils you may feel that we have ruined a phone I believe that this is a little harsh as it doesnt effect the functionality of the phone itself. As with any purchase over the phone or online you have 7 days piece of mind bow so have a play with the device and if your not happy with it give our returns team a call to exchange it. The TP2 is running Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro. It is eligable for a free WM6.5 upgrade..... but I wont count on it before XDA Devs is the only alternative.
Tbh, its cheaper to speak to voda direct for a better deal. They can only do better than the www prices. OK, ruined is an exaggeration but the phone looks really good, and its very quick, responsive... I love all but how voda branded the firmware. I dont mind the logo embedded in the startup, the logo on the phone itself. But when you make the theme red, and dont make the rest of the phone consistent... it looks cheap. The start menu is black, but the home screen is red..... they look very bad. I wish voda had taken all that into account when the same issues were raised about the origional TP. The vodatheme has a gray bar at the top... sort of stripy..... completely out of character..... it blurs what evry is written there (e.g. Vodafone or even the time!).... I just think that you should listen to customers more. I run a business... somewhat smaller obviously.... but I know i LIKE to brand things.... nothing much just a small sticker just to say 'I did that' but making the phone inconsistent so people know its a vodafone home screen seems just a little petty. What is the reasoning? Im not here to moan about vodafone all that much but Orange dont brand their HTCs.... they look really snazzy. I think the phone overall is fantastic, its the best Ive ever had by far (incl iphone). For that reason I am not going to return it, Ill just wait on XDA devs to release a .cab file with the origional graphics. This would mean that it would not void my warreny and would make the phone professional again. Its funny how the windows phones are branded the most.... probably because the tech team can write VB but symbian is a little too difficult to modify and Nokia want to keep their reputation in tact lol Overall, a note to vodafone. I love the handset but get off your backsides and listen to customers.... they told you before about the TP1, so why did you make the same mistakes? Please release a new firmware patch that just adds a little voda logo to the top right of the screens or something.... not something so drastic.... You will loose sales because of what I have written, and if more people say the same in agreement..... you could loose out again. And in this climate, its not the most financially efficient thing to do I look forward to your response. Now to review the TP2 Vodafone more publically.... However, if you choose a redish background you can sort of make it look acceptable.... but that certainly is restrictive Steve Simmons Tech |
