Note 4 camera issues

Hi,

I've been having issues with the stock camera app on my Note 4 for the last few weeks. Most times, when I open the app it doesn't matter whether the hone is in portrait or landscape the image is flipped 90deg, eg if I was to try and take a photo of a clock the "3" will be in the 12 oclock position at the top of the screen.

If I then move the phone from portrait to landscape or v/v the image stays the same and doesn't move with the phone.

The only way I can stop this is to use the on screen button to flick between rear camera and front camera 4 times; each time I do it the picture rotates another 90deg until it's the right way up.

I have tried resetting the camera app settings to default with no joy.

Anyone have any suggestions? I would rather not do a hard reset but if I have to I will.

Hi

Appreciate you do not really want to perform a factory reset but that process has been known to rectify issues. Make a back up first. 

Other avenues are to visit a Samsung Service location if local and or speak with Samsung via their uk online Chat.

Try this:

Settings> Application Manager> Slide to all > Scroll to camera> clear cache and clear data.

See if that helps.

Thanks, I'll be getting the Marshmallow update shortly (I hope) so will leave it until then and then do a hard reset.

I also don't know why this is on the HTC forum when I wrote it on the Samsung one! I'll repost it.
