Hi again.

Im on an Unbranded s7 edge currently on 1/11/16 Security Patch.

Samsung send them out dependant on your serial number and CsC code.

The January 17 patch only comes when Android 7.0 Nougat has been downloaded.

My rule of thumb is not to

Navigate to websites from unknown links.

Use Content Blocker to help stop adds.

Dont click on unknown links in unsolicited emails.

Only download Apps from the PlayStore. Don't side load any.

My pleasure.  :Smiling:

How are you finding your Samsung Galaxy s7 edge?

One of my most used features is the Split Screen so I can use two eligible apps at the same time. :Smiling:

Hi its excellent I am still getting used to it but it can do a lot I am really impressed.although I am being carefull I've read a lot of horror stories about people having problems but up to now apart from the battery not lasting as long as stated but using your advice earlier there has been an improvement so thanks again

It's important to take note of issues experienced by others but to also keep things in perspective.

I consider myself a power user and leave most things turned On.

I typically achieve 1.5 to 2 days between charges.

Battery life stats is a subjective discussion.

Take into account that....

When a phones new more time is taken to set it up and getting used to it so more battery is used.

A phones battery imo reaches optimum output once it's been charged and discharged a few times.

Other settings and tips include....

Use a Dark Wallpaper as a black Pixel on an amoled screen is a turnec off one so uses no battery.

Dark Themes from the Samsung Theme Store can help.

I have my screen timeout set to 2 minutes of inactivity.

Its also set to remain Off if in my pocket so no accidental screen turn on.

My screen brightness is set to approx 50%
