Hi people

This is not a problem just a query.

From reading other posts I keep reading that Vodafone branded phones have a splash screen on start up.

my my last device Samsung s5 and now I have an s7 edge I have never seen the splash screen.and to be honest I prefer it that way.

My question is do Vodafone still apply the splash screen to there branded phones?

Hi @SKYMAN513

Your active CsC Code on the 3rd screenshot confirms it has the Vodafone firmware on it.

Why it hasn't the Vodafone splash screen I'm not sure.

I've known network supplied phones not to have them.

Does it have the Vodafone pre installed network apps on it.

thanks for that.very interesting cause my phone s7 edge doesn't have it and I am on a 24 month contract.

But I have been having a lot of minor problems

Could any one explain why my device never shows it on start up or even after a restart.

I have nothing against and prefer not having it.

I am just curious if this could be a hint of why I have issues.

Samsung themselves escalated my problems but are at a loss as to what the cause is.and came back saying first try a factory reset

Hi @SKYMAN513

Can you download the app PhoneInfo from googleplay and launch it.

Look at what your CsC Code is and post it here. We should then be able to see if you have the Vodafone firmware on it.

Hi thanks for that yes it has Vodafone start and I think there is another one with Vodafone with a sim card picture but I have never used them.

But they are definitely cooked in

I could probably disable them.

But I think that would cause more problems than just not using them in my opinion

But feel better now knowing that everything seems fine.

Thanks for reassurance

My S7 from Vodafone does not have a splash screen either nor does my wife's S6.

I've had many phones from VF over the last 20 years (mainly Samsungs) and I've only ever had one that had the VF splash screen on start-up, and I think two that had physical VF branding on the phone itself.
