Hi everybody,

Was wondering if anyone knew what i should do or how to speed things up so that i can actually use my phone!!!

I received the handset saturday morning and the sim still hasn't activated!! Getting rather annoyed now!

Phoned up customer services last night and was assured it would be by midnight or early this morning...lies!

It's been over 3 days...taking the **** slightly!

I havent tried to carry over another number or anything, a straighforward new connection!

HELP! I want to use my iPhone ((

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGHHHHH now i'm being told (After being told by vodafone last night it would be done automatically) that i have to talk to mobiles.co.uk to activate my sim!!! And obviously theyre closed... So 4 days with an inactive sim!! I am so annoyed. If they reply to my email tomorrow and say they cant do it its going back and i'm going with O2 as i knew i should.

Why is it so much hassle???

Firstly, a very warm welcome to the eForum Family, I only wish it were under better circumstances .

I must admit that three days for a SIM to become active does certainly sound like a rather long time. Did you purchase this from mobiles.co.uk? If so then they will have all of the information necessary to setup the account, it's possible that they haven;t set this up for you correctly. If you purchased this through us directly with us then I can take a look into this for you, simply reply to the email I've just sent you and I'll be in touch as soon as I can.

Please can you help me then as I received my iphone on Saturday and was told when I ordered it the previous week that it would be up and running on Monday 8 Feb.....5 frustrating telephone calls later and it is still not working. I am fed up of everyone telling me to wait a bit longer. This is ridiculous. :angry:

I am meant to be transferring my previous number (which was also Vodafone) to this phone but am still using my old phone which kind of reinforces the fact that the new one has still not been activated even though I am being told it has!

Note that I have posted a reply to someone else earlier on Non Activation - sorry, I am desperate!

Any ideas please?

I have the same dilema as well - Just got my phone via mobiles.co.uk on vodafone tarriff and would like to activate the sim for goodness sake .

Blacksta, did you contact mobiles.co.uk to ask them when your number would be ported from tmobile ?

They will be able to answer your question.
