Hi there

I have been kindly given a 3G iphone by my daughter.  I am a PAYG customer of many years.

Today whilst out I found that I couldn't connet to  wifi is this because it's PAYG as I can connect ok at home

The type of SIM card you use will not affect the functionality or performance of any WiFi connection.

You will probably find that the issue is with the network itself rather than your handset

Firstly connect your phone to iTunes to update the latest carrier settings for your sim card.

If you are still having problems connecting to wifi then post your settings to this forum and someone will be able to advise if you have the correct settings.
