Action needed to set up iPhone w/ vodafone sim upon arrival in UK? simply pop in or connect to itune

Hello, I'm trying to get some clarification on what I need to do to use my unlocked iPhone 4s I will be bring with me to the UK. Is it as simple as putting in the new SIM card for the plan I have purchased, or am I going to be required to connect my phone to iTunes to set things up? I ask because I won't have my laptop with me and need to exactly what I need to do upon arrival in Liverpool. Thanks, Rick Thanks for your thoughts. Rick

There should be no need to connect you phone to iTunes.

 

I have used various unlocked iPhones in Thailand. Australia and Indonesia and have always found just sticking a local sim card in them has worked.

 

Just make sure your iPhone is running the latest ios version before you leave home.
