Apple iPhone 3G Help
Apple iPhone 3GS Help

What you need to get started

• A PC or Mac with a USB port
• An active internet connection to activate your account and download Vodafone settings
• The latest version of iTunes. This is available at www.itunes.com/download
• An iTunes Store account (if you wish to purchase content from the iTunes Store or App Store)

------------------------------------------------

Inserting the SIM

• You will need the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM tray. This is attached to the inside of the black booklet containing the user guide, which is in your iPhone box.
• The eject tool needs to be inserted fully; the tray will then open slightly and can be pulled out.
• Place the SIM into the tray and slide it back into the phone
• Press the Power Button at the top of the device to switch the phone on

------------------------------------------------

Assembling Charger

To charge your iPhone you’ll need to assemble the mains charger. In the box you’ll find the head of a charger and a USB cable. You will need to insert the USB cable into the charger head and connect the other end to your iPhone.

------------------------------------------------

Activation

• Before you start using your iPhone, it must be activated by connecting it to iTunes. The phone will prompt you to do this.

– You can download iTunes from www.itunes.com/download
– You need to have an active internet connection when activating your iPhone
– Remember, you wont be automatically directed to iTunes when you connect your iPhone to your computer

------------------------------------------------

Downloading Applications

• To use the App Store, your iPhone must be connected to the internet
• To purchase content, you’ll need an iTunes Store account.

- If you haven’t already got an ITunes Store account simply choose the Create New Account option from the iTunes Store menu, either online or on your iPhone, then follow the onscreen instructions.
- If you already have an iTunes Store account, then simply log-in with your username and password.

• You can purchase downloadable content either by debit/credit card or iTunes voucher
