you hold on the home button, and the icons will start to shake or whatever it is they do
then you drag one icon on top of another and it will create a folder, if it is games, it will automatically call the folder games. and to delete a folder, you just drag all the icons out of it and it automatically disappears! :)

Just checked mine and it is way out. Anyone know how to get back to the old version until this one is more stable?

To create folders just touch and hold on an icon untill they start jiggling then just drag one icon on top of another ( say 2 games ) and the folder will be created automatically

  • Hi all ,been using iOS4 for 3 days now ( I installed iOS4 Gold Master seed) and I am impressed with it.
Things I have noticed, Battery life has increased by a good margin, Signal reception has improved (used to get 2 bars now getting 4)
Folders are great only have 2 screens now instead of 6
I also like the new photo places where the places where you have taken the pics come up on google maps.
Apps seem to load more quickly, still playing with it.
All in all a worthwhile update but then I am an apple fan.

Hi, had same problem, was told to turn off location service in general settings and restart phone, then turn location setting back on and restart again, worked for me

To rename a folder you just double click the folder name the same as you do in iTunes and rename. The spellcheck is also handy as it underlines any spelling errors in red.

The update seems well thought out and everything synched on both my iPod Touch & my 3gs.

iOS 4 all completed, thank god everything went smooth. Must say im loving the home screen customisation and folders. The grey wallpaper with bubbles is really nice so I recommend this :)

Any help required just ask, i'll do my best to help out.

i am having trouble downloading, starts by telling me 5hrs to download and then keeps crashing and i have to start again. error code 9006 or network connection timed out. Is it cause everyone is downloading or is it my computor or ###### network connection. I really want to get this asap and i am getting a bit frustrated any ideas?

The last update gave me problems downloading but I found out it was caused by my Anti Virus (AVG)

I just disabled it and it downloaded fine.

Hi Alex,

Go into settings, Wallpaper, then choose a wallpaper, you can then select this for either Homescreen, Lockscreen or both.
