Can't add/delete contacts

Wonder if anyone can help,I don't seem to be add or delete or edit any contacts on my iphone 3.

 

Never had a problem before - if I remember rightly you go into contacts then there was a + button,well that doesn't appear anymore.

 

Would appreciate some ideas!

Its ok sorted it,needed to change settings.
