There would not be any reason why you would be unable to switch to a cost equivalent iphone tariff. Give Customer Care a call and see what they are able to offer or hang around and wait for a member of the Tech Team to get back to you.
You can pick up a micro SIM and get the number transferred to the new SIM from Vodafone store.
