Changing to PAYG account on old contract iPhone

Hi 

 

My son has been given an old iphone 4 which was on a contract with Vodaphone by his godmother. He wants to set up a Vodaphone PAYG account on the phone as he can't afford a contract... can anyone give any advice / tips on how to do this as he's bought a sim and put it in the phone but it's not registering it.

Is your phone locked to EE ?

If so you could try his sim in your phone if the sim size is the same.

Other option to try are

Pay As You Go Customers : tel:03333048069

Hi

Where did he get the PAYG sim from ?

It probably needs activating which a Vodafone store can do.

Or try calling 17298 to activate and choose a big bundle.

Advise him to download the myvodafone app too so he can monitor his allowances etc.

He bought it from Tesco, plus a £10 top up... should I just ring Vodaphone?

try calling 17298 to activate and choose a big bundle.

Before using the phone wait for a text confirming the big bundle has been activated.

Can take up to 15 minutes.

Thanks - is there a landline number as my phone is linked to EE and his phone just won't work?
