Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

Sounds very good.

I'll be a bit annoyed if true though as I was offered £32 per month and £59 so seems unfair?

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

I ended up ordering (with the web relations people) a 32gb for £119,

I got a text within seconds confirming will be delivered on Monday but haven't had any emails or anything confirming it and nothing is appearing on my online page (unlike when I have made previos orders) ?

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

Seems like people are getting different prices! I paid £69 for 16gb so if Andyiphone got offered it for £59 and fitz06 got it for free something's not right here! If you did get it free I will be getting a refund on my upfront payment!!

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

I could have been quoted £69 not £59 cant 100% remember,

Everyone seems to have been given the same price except "fitz06"

either you got a cracking deal or I would be very very concerned you might have a iPad2 on the way as thats the offer for that as far as im aware?

Hopefully you are right.

Very unlike Vodafone to give someone a different deal to everyone else but you never know!

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

Who did you speak to - the contact centre or one of the very helpful people from either the tech team or the web relations team?

Because I encountered a little mix up while ordering today. Long story short is that I initially ordered the 16GB via the tech team, then changed my mind so I called the contact centre and asked a friendly woman to change it to 32GB. This seemed to present a few problems. She kept referring to it as an iPad 2 and I had to get her to confirm a few times that she meant an iPad 3. Then I got her to confirm the amendment and she relayed that info back to me. Good. Or was it.

No. I called back as I was worried that I hadn't received any sort of confirmation. Guy from the Ccentre said that I had an order for a 64GB at £219 waiting to be processed. I didn't order that. He changed it to 32GB.

Then another guy from the CCentre calls me asking if I want to buy an iPad 3 as I'd expressed an interest before. I explained that I'd ordered one.

I was still worried that the general confusion surrounding my order would delay the shipment of the unit, so I asked one of the very professional and helpful members of the web/tech team to call me. He mentioned that my account showed something like 12 orders and cancellations of various iPads over the past three or four hours!

He seemed to clear it up for me and - fingers and toes crossed - I'll have my 32GB iPad 3 on Monday.

So yeah, I'd double check that they've assigned the correct model to you. I think you'll find that your order is erroneous and that you'll have to amend it.

I was told with authority by someone outside of the contact centre and who is based in London that Vodafone have no immediate plans to offer any model of iPad 3 for free.

Hope this helps you fitz.

ps I'm in no way unhappy with the above. I understand completely the difficulty in managing an avalanche of orders over a very short period of time for a product that hasn't been sold before today. I appreciate their service and happy disposition today. No complaints here at all... well, that's assuming I get my iPad on Monday ;-)

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

Hi ebusiness

Thanks for your post, as you have a One Net Express account you would need to contact your business team directly to find out if they have any offers or promotions on the New iPad. You can do this by dialling 191 from any of your business lines.

Let me know if you need anything else. :smileyhappy:

Thanks

Amanda

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

Hi There,

I was contacted regarding The New iPad and was asked if I was interested. I said yes as long as I didnt need to pay an upfront cost. The Sales Rep said he would sort it out and get back to me, which he didnt.

Could this be chased up?

Regards,

Colin

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

colinmjpmonk, welcome to the eForum :smileyhappy:

Our iPad deals are set and can't be negotiated so normally you wold have to pay the online prices listed here.

As an exisiting customer, we can reduce the upfront cost from £199 down to £69 on a £32 per month line rental, but we don't have the ability to provide it for free (although we can get the iPad 2 for free on that deal)

So that we can find out what's been offered to you, we'll need to access your account - I've sent you a PM with some info on how to contact us - you can find your PM inbox here - once we get your email we'll be in touch as soon as we can.

Paul

Re: Free 'New Ipad' :)

I am an existing Vodafone customer too and am interested in the new iPad 64GB. I've read through this forum and seen that loads of other customers have got really good deals.

Please can someone from Vodafone get in contact with me and tell me what deal you can offer me? I have sent a message to Vodafone via my online account a few days ago but still haven't had a response or message received acknowledgement.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

jb
