Iphone 3 - APN Settings

Hi all, my buddy is on a monthly Vodaphone plan, was able to update to IOS4 and unlock iPhone 3G yesterday and swap his sim from his Blackberry. When we try to setup his mobile internet, we are unable to see a place to enter APN settings. WE are both running the same phone, and mine are right there. Under general/network there is a place to turn on and off cellular data, but no APN/MMS setup. We have restored network settings twice to no avail. We can't resync with iTunes right now (working). Does this sound like a problem on Vodafone's end? Maybe they need to push new info to the sim? Thanks for any help!

Hi supermansings
Thanks for the post and welcome to the Vodafone eForum
I'm sorry to see that your friend is having difficulties with the phone.
You should find the option to enter the APN settings by doing the following :-
Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network
As the options appear to be missing on the phone, it sounds like you're going to need to re-sync with iTunes
so that the network information can be reloaded on to the handset.
Unfortunately, it's not something that we can send out to you.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Many Thanks
