I know this is an often asked question but here goes.

I have just bought a 3gs from a work collegue who has upgraded his mobile to HTC on another network and no longer has an account with yourselves.

I have bought a Vodafone pay and go sim to get my 3gs working but now nead to have it unlocked, can you let me know what  the procedure is to do this...

Hi m1n1m1ke,

When it comes to getting a phone unlocked you will need to get the original owner of the phone to request the unlocking for you against their old account.

All that they need to do is complete the online form here and our NUC team will then be able to raise the request for you.

When he fills in the request form will he have to input his old phone number or the one on my new SIM

Hi Mike,

I would recommend using the old Vodafone mobile number as the team will use this to reference the IMEI number with an account.

Hi, I've just bought an iPhone 3gs off a friend who had it with a pay monthly deal with vodafone and upgraded to an iPhone 4. I'm wanting to unlock this but I'm not sure which method to use?

Would this phone be classed as a PAYG because he's not using it with his contract sim anymore or is it still classed as pay monthly?
