Please note that the Mac Mobile Connect software is broken under the very soon to be released 10.7 (Lion).

The latest 4.05.03.00 stall's on install. The earlier version install but crash's.

Novamedia.de (who write the software) has their own launch2net software which does install but is very flakey (and costs money).

Please could you fix this problem before you have millions of Macintosh users unable to use their 3G connections.

I hope you can find the time to release your updated software very soon. This has not happened in the past.

Please learn by past mistakes.

Welcome to the Vodafone eForum family. It’s always nice to see new people around here.

Thanks for voicing your concerns around VMC (Vodafone Mobile Connect) and it’s compatibility with the soon to be released Lion OS (Operating System).

As you are aware the latest VMC for Mac is v4.05.02.00, which was last updated on 14/04/11. This is fully compatible with the latest version of Snow Leopard, which is the latest now available version of Mac OS. The Lion OS is not yet available as a commercial product, and an updated version of VMC has not yet been released that states to be specifically compatible with Lion.

I am not a party to the information of when a Lion verified version of VMC will be available, but I have contacted the relevant department to see if I can gather some further information concerning this. If I receive any updates, I will keep you posted via this thread.

A much earlier version (4.01.08.00) works under 10.7 Lion. Please post a sticky note to avoid MUCH frustration.

I trust you'll fix/update the latest version.

The frustration is that in the past problems have been solved reactively instead of proactively.

I understand that Lion has not been released YET but it's very very close. It would be nice to notify people that you have already noted issues and that you have a solution ready and waiting.

Hi Trev,

Just a quick update for you. Lion 10.7 Gold Master was released to developers yesterday 1st July. Typically this is the final shipping version unless major bugs are found. We're looking at a mere 2 weeks to go.

The latest version of the Mobile Connect software (4.05.07.00) released 11th June still isn't compatible with 10. 7.

Any news on when this is likely to be updated?

I'm more than happy to assist in troubleshooting.
