My Vodafone App for iPhone

Just run a search on the app store with the keyword "vodafone" and My Vodafone was at the top! Yay!

Although im a little unconvinced by the data on it- it thinks i've used 234 of my minutes which i know cannot be correct as i rarely phone anyone and i know i've sent more than 6 texts. It also has that I have only used 9.62mb of data but im constantly updating my email and FB on via the network's data and even have been known to update and download apps while not connected to a Wifi...

Can someone from vodafone confirm whether this app is now working properly now (if so, i really need to phone about my minutes useage...maybe im doing something wrong when ending a call...)

Anyone else used it in the last day who thinks its showing incorrectly?

ahhh thats interesting - just went onto the help page - it says the app only works for the account holder - I have 2 phones on one account and the one I hold is the second one to be added. Although the last bill amount and the price plan do match my plan not the other. Does this mean it is showing the wrong useage summary (as in for the first phone on the account?)

A bit disappointing that you couldn't have updated the graphics for the Retina Display while the app's been on holiday!

My Vodafone App for iPhone

I still had it installed from before the hiatus and my version is 1.02. I've just checked out the 'updated' version on the app store and that shows as version 1.01 released on 23 June so I have no update option. Have Vodafone actually just resubmitted and older version of the app?

I'm also disappointed to see that they haven't launched iOS4 multitasking/retina display compatible versions.

Does that mean they have just released one of the older versions because of the high demand for the app to be back....

If you want to get the current version, back up your iphone using itunes, then delete the app from your iphone and re-install using the App store on the iphone...if your still not happy and want to go back to 1.02, you can delete 1.01 from your iphone and re-install 1.02 from your itunes back up...ta da!!

Just a question guys, every time i run Vodafone app it gives me a message saying that it does not support business users at the moment.
Even though i was assured by vodafone customer services that it would be running after 1 bill cycle, but after a received my phone bill its still not working for unknown reason giving me the same message??


I would like to see what the MOD can tell me about that.

Hi Guys

The "My Vodafone App" did not need to be updated in the end, we fixed the "bugs" that were in place so that all of the information on the App is showing correctly now.

The app is a consumer app, so if you have a business account unfortunately this will not be compatible for you.

Yeah ... I connect to the app but for the past 3 days it says 'sorry, we could not access your account infomation at this point in time. please try again later'

Hi David123,

Can you remove the app and download this from the app store again and let us know if the issue continues, the app should now be working for every one who has received their first bill after connection or upgrade.

Hmmm, I'm still a little confused by VF information that is on My Vodafone - Says i've only got half the minutes im entitled to and have used hardly any messages/data..despite that I rarely phone people but text and spend a lot of time on email/FB on the Network Data (joys of bordom and no wifi at work...)

Phoned 191 and they said the same going on to say I had pro-rata'd time - How can this be possible when I have my FULL allowance for data?

Asked when my billing dates are - was told the 25th of each month - I got my iPhone on the 20th so why would you pro rata when its a full month...V V Confused!

No, i phoned up on the 4th August, thats 10 days into the new month - therefore I should now have the full allowance as it is a full month (25th July - 25th August).

Just updated to version 1.4 and still shows my monthly data allowance as 500mb when it should be 1gb

Just installed 1.04 (not sure why there was never a version 1.03!) and whilst my data appears still to be accurate (was fine on previous version 1.02 anyway) I'm surprised to see Vodafone has made no attempt to update the graphics for the retina display or to enable iOS4 multitasking. That is just plain lazy given the amount of time they've had to sort it. It's not even as if there are that many graphics in the app so it would hardly take any effort. Disappointing.

I experienced exactly the same problems with the 'my Vodafone' application on the iPhone4 expressed above by David123. Followed the recommendation by James from the eForum Team, and removed the application (by then it was version 1.02. Installed it again from the App Store, and now I got version 1.4.

However, when trying to using it (always via 3G, not my home WiFi), I get a new error: "Account error: Your new price plan and allowance information will be available once you've received your next bill, please come back then..".

Just to clarify, I am a new Vodafone customer, contract started on 20 July and I have already had -and payed- my first full bill (one full month plus a couple of days on pro-rata).

Could someone please explain me why I still can't access the usage information I need, and if I will ever get it or I would better give up?
