New pay monthly sim needs activating

Hi i recently got a new pay monthly sim  to replace my pay as you go sim for my iphone 3gs (i dont want to keep my previous number), I put in the new sim but found that there was no service, i'm guessing i need to do something else to activate my new sim? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pay monthly SIMs do need activating before they can be used. This is a security measure put in place in case your SIM was stolen between leaving VF and reaching you.

 

The quickest way to do this is to call customer services on 191

It tells me network not available when I try ring 191
