Hi, well ave went and bought a contract from Vodafone and ave got no service, I've tried switching the device on and off by holding the lock and home button down but no luck, non of my pals have the same problem with Vodafone contracts there sims have worked from the get go, and ave all ready seen people haven this resolved by complaining this way

Try Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network settings.

Remove the sim and wipe it.

Plz try ure Sim in another phone as a process of elimination 2 rule out the phone or sim that may be at fault.
