I will try and keep this simple. I have the old type of dongle £15 top ups only. I have been told that you can still top them up @ 10 a time and the data lasts past the 30days. This has yet to be proven and slightly off track at the mo, but if anybody know for sure please let me know.
Getting to the point. Forget tethering my iPhone as VF do not make this easy, I have mine some time I cant get a straight answer.
Can I put the sim from the dongle into my old BB Storm and use it for tethering as I did with contract sim / Laptop.
Has anybody tried this with the old TopUp sims? I do not want to screw up the sim and risk having it reset to a 30 day job. AS I still have £8+ credit out of the original £15 it came with despite being at least 3yrs old. Hence the reason I do not want any current data plan VF or anybody else has to offer.
I have thought about trimming it down as some people sugest but I can't see how this is done without cutting into the gold contacts on the sim.
Cheers for taking the time to read,

Apologies, but I'm not absolutely sure I follow your post. You mention your iPad in the subject and trimming down the SIM card, but you seem to be asking about taking a SIM from a dongle and placing it a BlackBerry device. Can you clarify exactly what you’re trying to do for me?
Whilst the SIM from the dongle would work for data only, in theory if you place it in a device to use for tethering this will work, although it's not something I've tried personally. If you're looking to use it in the BlackBerry, then you can try without needing to trim it down and without affecting the dongle itself.
Also, what do you need clarified about the iPhone? The situation with tethering will depend on which price plan you have and what type of account it is, so if you can confirm the situation you're asking about we can look to make sure you have the right answer.
