Hi,

I have recently changed my Samsung Galaxy SII for and iphone 3GS, this was because the battery life on the 3GS was terrible.  However I now find myself unable to create a personal hotspot on my new phone, and vodafone state I would need to upgrade my contract by£15.00 to do this even although I have 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data, I have never gone over my data usage yet and the most I've used since owning the phone is 50mb in one month, I would like to be able to use my data anyway I choose and not have to pay extra just because I bought a new handset. HELP

Looking around on the forum there are posts showing that you have to be on a certain price plan.

If you're on a plan that started before June 2011 you get charged for personal hotspot, where as after it comes out of your internet bundle automatically.

I think you can change it to an equivalent tariff for the same price that includes it. Worth ringing customer services on 191 to check I reckon.
