Hi Bud
I'm not sure to be honest. But go to this forum and check out what is written there, I got this link from Jeff below http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=569134
Also there is a new iphone 3GS coming out 19th June in the uk I think have a look here http://www.macrumors.com/iphone/
Let me know how you get on.
Steve
Cheers for the links!
I know all about the new new phone
So it's a case of finding a SIM unlocked phone (Like Orange in France). Then looking at the 3G or 3Gs prices to see what I can afford.
I know PLAY.com do them SIM Unlocked. No news on the 3Gs yet, or if the old 3G will have an AT&T price reduction or O2 "screw you" pricing.
Really want to stick with VF, but don't want another 18month contract either.

I bought an iPhone 3G at an Apple store in South Africa (see list, same criteria as Czech) and it works with no problem on UK Voda.
Best phone, best network, happy bunny.

We had a 3G in on Friday, worked with a Voda sim fine.
Think it was about £450. I'll find out how much for the 3GS.

Czech Republic is amongst those countries listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 where all iPhones are sold factory unlocked.

Hi Dave
I am going to wait for the 3GS to come out on the 19th June. Read lots of items on it, so will search for that asap.

Mine doesn't, don't know if that's a iPhone/WAP issue or with Voda. But I've never found it useful and don't miss it one bit. Plenty out there on the real www!

I don't have an iPhone (I'm waiting for my contact to come back with 3GS prices), and I've never used VF Live.

I'd be interested in getting one to from your contact in italy, any chances??
Just see the 32G 3GS on play.com is £999
Anyway, let me know what you can get one for. I was in Prauge again last weekend and they don't have any dates yet or if and when they will get them.
Cheers

Just want to jump on here and say I can understand your frustration with this and I'm sure there are many other customers that would like us to stock the i-Phone
I'm sure you can appreciate that we have tried to get the handset however this isn't down to ourselves to make the decsion and currently 02 still own the rights.
Never say never though and things may possibly change in the future who knows.
In the meantime we currently have a fantastic range of handsets some of which do have similar features to the iPhone check out our Mobile Phones for more
All the best,

Hi steveuklad1 and welcome aboard to the forum! ![]()
I have to agree with DPH in alot of ways here.... I can see that you have decided at his advice to wait until we launch the iphone later this year and I would recommend you do this too, I wouldnt shell out your hard earned pennies on cancelling a contract now instead of waiting until September.
Unlocking such a handset prior to that will cause you such a headache!
Have a look at the HTC Magic, I have to also say that its looking likely for my next upgrade and Im a huge Nokia fan, so this is groundbreaking for me!
Have a look at what the Magic does, in this link here.

Hi Claire,
Are Vodafone getting iphones later in the year??? this is the first I have heard of this, and im very excited if it is the case.
I'm still going to get rid of my nokia n96 in the meantime but ill make do with a simple handset instead of shelling out on an unlocked iphone from abroad (which is something im not too confident about to be honest)
Thanks

At this moment in time we don't have any information regarding Vodafone supporting this handset, please look at our coming soon section of our website for full details of any forthcoming devices.
