Relentless Issues with the Service.

For the past 18 months I have been a pay monthly customer with an Apple Iphone 3gs. I according to Vodafone live in a coverage black spot so I got a sure signal, which yes works in my house, but any where else I seem to go I have no Signal coverage in doors. This to me is completely unacceptable.

I am pay for a service that I can only receive out doors, and even when I am outdoors I rarely have a signal which exceeds one bar, making call and sending a basic text very difficult, never mind trying to browse the web.

All I want is a service that I am paying for. I now have the option to upgrade my phone six months early, but grudge having to pay for a new mobile and have another six months added onto a new contract, when I have had so much difficulty with the service for this long.

Re: Relentless Issues with the Service.

Hi mortimerbob34,

Many thanks for you post here and I’m sorry to see that you have had signal issues in your area.

I have taken a look at the postcode area that you have in your profile and can see that although the surrounding areas have good 2G and 3G coverage I can see that your exact postcode is a small area in the vicinity of the local site that does have a patchy 3G coverage due to the surrounding area blocking the signal.

I can see that there is an additional 3G site planned for the area however, from what I can see this won’t affect the signal that you receive, although it will increase coverage in areas surrounding your postcode.

Unfortunately other than the sure signal device which you already have there is little that we can do regarding the signal in the area other than advise you to switch your handset to 2G which will allow you to use the phone for calls and messaging although it does mean that the internet speeds will be slow and may fail to connect depending on the handset you use.

However, if you do decide to upgrade with us, please let us know and I can get one of our team to contact you directly to see what kind of deal that we could offer you.
