Hi,
I purchased a secondhand Iphone 3Gs which is locked to Vodafone and have been using it with my current Vodafone pay monthly contract for 20 months. Now my contract has finished I want to switch to a sim only deal with a different provider as Vodafone are not able to match it. Is there a way to unlock my phone when I was not the original owner so it can be used with another network?
Many thanks,

Hi mnc
You can find all the information you’ll need to get your device unlocked here.
Let me know how you get on and if you have any more questions we’ll be happy to help you.
Thanks
Wayne
If you have a spare minute could you please take the time to fill out a short feedback form about me?
You can do so here

Hi,
I tried filling in the online form which you directed me to with the reference number of #8834410, but this response has come back today:
We are unable to verify your Details with our records and in that case we will not be able to process your request. Also update your email address.
I'm guessing as explained in my original post that this is because I am not the original owner of the phone, even though I have been using it with my contract sim for over 18 months. Is there any other way of proceeding now? Also, the reply tells me to update my email address but I've only ever had one email address which I use in all correspondance?!
Kind regards,
mnc

If the phone was a contract phone I believe that Vodafone will only take instructions from the original owner - not what you need to hear I know.
