Sending text message but recipient receiving old and new mixed together?

Not sure if this is a handset or a network problem? I sent my boyfriend a text message but the message he received was different from what I sent? The bottom couple of lines differ from what I sent and appear to be an old message?? He as an HTC and is on 3 network.. Any ideas?? :-)

Re: Sending text message but recipient receiving old and new mixed together?

Hi becki4684

Thank you for your post and a very warm welcome to the eForum.

I have come across this before and it would appear it was an issue with the device.

To resolve this we advised to do a factory reset on the device and to ensure that they are currently running the latest software.

Please let me know how he gets on.

Many Thanks

I've also had this problem. I have an iPhone 4S with the latest software. I send a long text and its mixed with a text I sent to the same person months ago. It's embarrassing, what can I do?

A factory reset would wipe my phone?!

Mcquillan73,

This will wipe the phone however, if you back everything up before doing the reset, you can then restore everything back to your phone via iTunes.
