UUID not unique, BT wifi

I have a BT Openzone allowance with my iPad, and recently tried to connect at Paddington station. I went to the Vodafone app on the iPad, and tried to install the wifi settings from there, and when it went to install, it said that the UUID was not unique and could not be installed. I was unable to connect to the wifi.

Re: UUID not unique, BT wifi

Hi Dumnomnii,

Thanks for your post.

Can you tell me if you've already activated your WiFi? Just click the link and tap/click the Business tab and tap/click the activation link.

It's also worth having a look at the BT Openzone Map to ensure you were trying to connect to an Openzone hotspot rather than a BT Fon hotspot, for example :smileywink:

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Vodafone WiFi profile "UDID not unique"

Using the My Vodafone app, the "WiFi setting Install" button on the more tab starts to download a profile to my iPad with settings for BT Openzone etc. However, when I try to install I get the error message "The UDID for the profile 'vodafone UK WiFi' is not unique". I don't know what this means or how I can fix it. Can anyone advise?

Re: Vodafone WiFi profile "UDID not unique"

Hi virtualstu,

You shouldn’t need to install the settings as they are automatically included in the later version of IOS for iPad and iPhones.

More information regarding this can be found in our FAQ’s page.
