Re: Unlock iPhone 4

You will have to pay the £19.99 fee if the handset is within the 12 months of conection date.

Is your handset being used on Vodafone at present? As that may be why the 'details are not updated' message appears, the phone's IMEI number needs to appear on Vodafones database so that they can unlock it.

Re: Unlock iPhone 4

Hi dekazan

For us to unlock your phone you will need to be using a Vodafone UK SIM card.

We also need you to be using a Vodafone UK SIM card so that we can charge you for the unlocking. (You’ll need to top up the SIM card with £20 so that we can take the £19.99 from it)

Thanks

Wayne

Re: Unlock iPhone 4

Hi dekazan

Thanks for coming back to me here. If you have already paid then you do not need to worry about this. You do need to be using a Vodafone UK SIM card though.

Have you checked that it isn’t already unlocked by hooking the phone up to iTunes with the non Vodafone SIM inside?

Thanks

Wayne

If you have a spare minute could you please take the time to fill out a short feedback form about me?

You can do so here

If you buy the phone from Vodafone and it is used on the Vodafone UK network Vodafone will unlock it for free if it is on contract  or for £19.99 if PAYG.

The earlier poster was experiencing proplems as he was using the phone on a Russian network.

In the UK all you need to do is to complete this form:

http://campaigns.vodafone.co.uk/UnlockCodeRequestForm/

As Wayne asked, have you connected the phone to itunes to see if it is now unlocked?

Re: Unlock iPhone 4

As you bought the phone without a contract have you ever used the phone on the vodafone network to make / recive calls?

If not then the IMEI number will not been shown on the Vodafone system and therefore Vodafdone will not unlock it.

Re: Unlock iPhone 4

Of course I use it. I spent about 20 pounds. Maybe I need to top up the balance?

Re: Unlock iPhone 4

You say you have paid for the unlocking and have a receipt so there should not be any need to pay again.

In post #5 you say you are using it in Russia with a Vodafone sim? If that is correct what network are you using it on?

New message from NUC are so nice

Dear Custome

We are unable to request free number unlocking code for PAYT mobile number 07787****0 within 12 months from the connection date. If you still wish than this will be charged at £ 19.99. What does it mean? Why I should wait? It means  that Vodafone took the money and does not do things that should?

Re: Unlock iPhone 4

Hi dekazan

To unlock the phone a credit of £19.99 needs to be on the number for this to go through. If the credit is spent on calls and texts etc, the credit is not reserved for the unlock procedure.

If you can make sure that this amount is on the PAYG number then request this again from the link above then this will go through.
