Re: Unlocking IPhone 3GS (On contract) to T-mobile

There are no options as you yourself pointed out in a previous post for entering an Apple device on that form. Think I will wait for a forum moderator to contact me regarding this matter.

Re: Unlocking IPhone 3GS (On contract) to T-mobile

Apparently a previous poster found that selecting 'Vodafone phones' on the form and entering the make & model details in the 'model' field worked for her.

Re: Unlocking IPhone 3GS (On contract) to T-mobile

That's because your unlock was done by jail breaking the phone. As soon as you update the phone to a newer version of iOS it will go back to its original locked state.

Not if the procedure detailed on the site is the procedure which happens in reality — none of the steps associated with jailbreaking appear to be listed.

Re: Unlocking IPhone 3GS (On contract) to T-mobile

The link has been removed so I can't check it but my understanding from everything I'v seen and read is that only Apple can 'legally' unlock and iPhone and then only on the request of the network that the phone was locked to.
