I am nearly out of contract with my iPhone 4. I would like to ugrade to a 4S. How long would I have to wait before Vodafone will unlock it?

No time at all - Vodaone will unlock it right away. Complete the form here

it will take about 10 days for Vodafone to request Apple to unlock that handset and for Apple to process the request. The process is completed by syncing the phone to iTunes with a non Vodafine sim.

Unless there has been a recent change in policy Vodafone will not accept an unlock request until you have had the phone for at least 15 days.

Interesting  - I assumed the request related to the I4 rather than the 4S but now I re-read it I can see it probably relates to the 4S.
