Vodafone DC not verified

On my payg wap profile, on my iPhone, it's stating that Vodafone DC is "not verified" (in red text). I've gone into 'More details' and under 'Signing certificates' it states (in red text) it expired on 11th January 2015. I have also noticed that VPN is not connected, I'm not quite sure what this even is and if it ever has been connected. I haven't been receiving or been able to send photo messages via normal messaging, however I am able to do this via iMessage. Could it be the things I have mentioned effecting this

I've had the same problem with my new phone after upgrading to iOS 9. I've found out that the APN needs to be pp.vodafone.co.uk NOT wap.vodafone.co.uk. It worked for me. Give it a go

Settings, mobile data, mobile data network, then under mobile data and next to APN, remove www and replace with pp. it worked for me.
