Re: Waiting on iPad 2

Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for delivery also. What is extremely frustrating is the lack of and conflicting information from Vodafone.

I placed my order in store on the 31st May, as they were out of stock, they helpfully placed the order online. Initially they told me it could be a few days. Having not heard anything from Vodafone for a couple of days (not by email, phone or text). I called the helpline and was told that it would be delivered by the end of the week. Again I waited and called again, and was told it should be delivered today... nothing.

I've just spent 20 minutes on the phone and have spoken with 3 Vodafone representatives (191, online store and wearhouse). Now they aren't even providing estimates of time but simply state that it is out of stock and will be delivered when the stock is fufilled but cannot give an estimate of when this is likely to be... maybe this week... maybe not.

I really find this dissapointing. While I understand that it may be difficult to meet some demand. I at least think Vodafone should be upfront and state from the outset the it may take up to a month or longer to fufil the order. Instead of conflicting information. Also, the lack of contact from Vodafone regarding the issue is frustrating. I've only had two automatic emails. For any information, I've had to chase Vodafone representatives on the phone.

It makes me wonder if I would receive better service with another provider.

Re: Waiting on iPad 2

I'm with you on this one. I have been a loyal customer for years with 3 lines all going into the hundreds of pounds every month. But am displeased with the lack of commitment and service from vodafone when it comes to letting customers know when stock will arrive. Any company turning over stock would have records of logistics and when stock will be available. It doesn't just turn up out of the blue.

Re: Waiting on iPad 2

I know that vodafone at the mercy of apple but a consistent message would be good and emails saying we are still working on your order but don't give anticipated timescales leads to people feeling dissatisfied with customer service with the company. Think a uniform message and more transparent updates should be the norm - not the service I have come to expect from Vodafone - sales may mean bonuses but I think in the long term you are making a rod to break your own backs!!

1 month now and still none the wiser to when my 16gb White iPad 2 will show up. Funny how orange are throwing them out the door of their shops must be only vodafone that has stock problems with apple.

:/

well lets hope they sort themselves out or they will be loosing a lot of valuable customers who will go elsewhere. Cant seem to understand the fact how orange seem to have ipads in stock and Vodafone take forever to receive them.
