Hiya. I'm having the same problem. It asked me for account number and account pin when I went to register this afternoon after receiving my new phone on vodafone this morning, but i never got a letter telling me these things. And when I texted I got the same "not eligible to upgrade" text...

I have just text the number and it said that my postcode is not registered to my account!!! It is the right one - the phone was sent here fine! I need my account number so i can manage my account. I have just moved from orange and am staggered at how difficult it is to do something as simple as register online. not a good start!

Apologies that you're having difficulties. Let's get you some help.

You should get your account number on the welcome letter, but if you don't have that to hand then if you follow Amanda's instructions your email will come straight to us and we can get the information you need.

If there's any issues with the information on the account we can sort that at the same time for you!

I didn't get much help in the other account number thread so I'll ask here.

I emailed for my account details three days ago but they've not turned up yet. I have my Direct Debit confirmation letter and that has a "Mobile Phone Account" number on it. However, I type this into the box when prompted (when I try and view minutes etc.), I press enter, and nothing happens. Is this the account number it's after, or is it unrelated? I'm basically locked out of my account. Starting to lose my patience.

I've just tried this and it's worked for me.

Can you create a message and send it to 97886 with the following text?

Account (your postcode in the correct format [I used ST5 7JH])

If this fails to yield the required results then please follow Dave's advice in his last reply.
