find and go

Customer services told me that find and go satnav is not compatible with iphone4 but on reading the forums it appears that other people have this feature on their iphone4. Can anybody clear this up for me please?

Re: find and go

Hi,

From the App Store there's an option for Vodafone Find&Go available although it looks to be the Vodafone Germany version (see screenshot)

I use Vodafone Navigation instead which is an English version

Re: find and go

Thanks for your reply.

I have just tried the version that you are using and its almost identical to find an go. The only problem is that it relies on a 3G signal whereas find and go does not. I make a lot of deliveries in rural areas where a lot of properties have names rather than numbers and find and go lists those names in any postcode you enter and will normally take you to the door. This is a big advantage over Tomtoms etc which dont recognise house names and can only direct you to the postcode area. The problem with this version is that many rural areas wont have a 3G signal therefore i am still interested to see if its possible to get the original find and go on IPHONE 4.

Thanks again.

Re: find and go

All software has to be downlaoded via the itunes app store and installed via itunes. Vodafone Navigation is available as free download and a £5 per month sub but it does rely on a mobile signal - not just 3G as GRPS or Edge will also work but more slowly.

There are other apps that download the maps direftly to the phone other than Tom Tom. I use Navigon but whether it will do what you want in terms of house names I'm not sure.
