I'm thinking about buying an iPAD2. I already have a vodafone contract for the internet dongle. Can I use it with the IpAD?

Hiya, they use 2 different sized sims, the ipad uses a microsim, your dongle a standard sim (USIM)

Thanks. Can I use the dongle on a non 3G ipad via usb (I believe there's an ipad to usb connector included)? This is how I currently use it with my lap top.

Technically this is possible in theory however as both products are not designed to be used in this way  you may have issues in getting this working,  if you do unfortunately Vodafone wont be able to help as it would be outside of our scope of support.

hi, i have a similar query.

i have had a PAYG dongle from vodafone for a while now.

decided not to lug my laptop around and got an ipad.

the PAYG dongle still has credit on it.

apple were kind enough to send me a vodafone microsim for free with the ipad.

edit: the ipad is a 3g ipad so the sim fits.

its being delivered on 12th dec 2011.

what i was wondering if i can transfer the products from the dongle sim to the ipad microsim and keep using it.(not the dongle, that is goin on ebay)

i know that this can be done for phone sims. but as this is for an ipad i was skeptical.

if it is possible

should i call up vodafone support and quote the long sim numbers for products to be transfered?

should i walk into a vodafone store and have them help me. (closest is moorgate, the staff are great; but the queues are loooong)

Should i post here for a solutiuon,

or is there somewhere on the site that i can do the swap myself? (most prefered method)
