iPad 2 upgrade

Hi, I have 2 Data only contracts coming to an end on the 14th May. Can I upgrade one or both to iPad 2's?

Hi Stagpole

Its brilliant to see that you are looking to get yourself an iPad or 2 :smileyvery-happy:

We can certainly look at this for you, I have therefore just sent you an email, if you can reply back to that with the relevant information, we can see what options we have for you :smileyhappy:

Thanks

Re: iPad 2 upgrade

I received an email today regarding upgrading my 2 existing data accounts, ending 14th May 2011, to ipad 2's. It pointed out that I was entitled to discounted iPad's on these contracts, an iPad 2 64gb for £150. As I have already placed an order for an iPad 64gb to be added to my account as a new contract £32 per month and £100 for iPad, I was surprised that if I upgraded rather than take out a new contract it would have cost me an additional £50 per unit. Really unfair on loyal Vodafone customers. As a result I have just emailed Vodafone instructing them not to renew and  to terminate my 2 existing data accounts.

Re: iPad 2 upgrade

Have had enough of Vodafone. Terminated my 2 data accounts that I had hoped to upgrade to iPad2's.

Re: iPad 2 upgrade

I think that handset prices will often be cheaper for new connections, rather than existing customers upgrading. I have often experienced this myself when reaching the end of a contract, and have simply decided to cancel the existing line and take out a new one.

I have no idea why the pricing tends to be as such. I can only imagine it is because Vodafone would rather induce new customers than retain old ones - perhaps it is better for statistics (i.e. I imagine PR spin to be "Vodafone saw x million new connections in 2010-11; rather than Vodafone retained y million customers in 2010-11).

Vodafone Telephone Call

Got a call from Vodafone a couple of days ago regarding the new iPad 2 order I placed weeks ago. It came out of the blue. They said they realised I had been waiting a long time for my iPad2 and apologised for the delay but assured me that my iPad2 would be with me within 10days. That means it will be with me by the end of next week. Great news, thanx Vodafone, but you'll forgive me if I don't hold my breath!!!
