Re: iPad 3

I told on the phone that it wouldn't be. Although considering the new iPad costs exactly the same as the old one I think it's a complete rip off from Vodafone if the stop the offer as its no difference to them except making more profit.

Re: iPad 3

Good Morning daviasht,

We don't have any information on pricing or whether the current iPad offer will apply to the iPad3.

If you'd like us to contact you when the iPad3 is launched please follow the instructions in the private message I've just sent and a member of the team will be in touch as soon as possible.

You can find your PM inbox here.

If there is anything else at all, please let me know.

Best Wishes,

Kay

Re: iPad 3

I too would not be too happy if it isn't the same offer and won't be getting one with Vodafone (wouldn't make anysense paying that much a month for 24 months and the high initial outlay) but its such a new product that I doubt they can offer it cheap because its doubtful apple will even make that much off the new ipad what with how much it cost to produce, they will be making most of there money from it off the services they provide, e.g. icloud, itunes apps?... was the iPad 2 available straight away for free?

Re: iPad 3

There is also the consideration that the market/Apple is still full of iPad 2's...there has to be some incentive for customers to buy the older model (lol @ older...its not even a year old) to clear the market

They all cost on launch, and only started to become "free" when demand started to slow/when people realised the the iPad 3 was coming soon...just think, when the iPad 3 is reduced (coz we know it will, even though it isnt yet for sale) it will be when we all start waiting for the iPad 4...  :smileywink:

Re: iPad 3

Exactly lol still wont be happy unless its free with the amount of money i pay them a month! :smileytongue:

really can't see vodafone being able to offer it free so will either buy it outright, or go to another network (not looked into this yet though, never been on another network before :smileysurprised: )

Re: iPad 3

The rumours are that they cost apple more to manufacture. now thinking logically Apple will not reduce their profits so will pass on this cost to 3rd party retailers. You may find Vodafone are paying a lot more the new iPad.

Re: iPad 3

like most things then, companies make a loss on each one they sell.

I am hoping that vodafone will give better plans though as just had a glance at three and comparing there ipad 2 deals with vodafones you get a hell of alot more data 15GB vs 2GB, just depends on how good their coverage is in my area!
