iPad, how do I track 3G usage

All of these can be viewed online for peaks in usage etc, My O2 iPhone since march has used 5.9GB and I use this all the time.
Today I have just realized that one week after getting my new iPad, my stats on the iPad on my cellular network data shows I have used 1.9GB but i have never been away from the house wireless network.
Questions
Is there an online account which I can see daily stats of usage? registered for a vodafone account but it has sent a text to my iPad (not very bright)
Is there an apple app like orange or o2 have? I was told by PC world that this was available
Does the iPad/vodafone count using wireless network as cellular data?
How do I cancel the contract?
Seems to me that something is not right and a few people will be getting unexpected high bills at the end of this month if they are not carefully.
Im just trying to get to the bottom of this so I can watch how I use 3G, at the moment I have the card out
Look forward to hearing back from a vodafone tech/rep.
Regards
Charlie

Welcome to the eForum
We do have a "My Acount" which you will be called to get set up. This will show what you have used upto that moment in time, not on a daily breakdown.
When you are using the WiFi, this usage will not show on the my account as it doesn't use our network.
You can cancel by giving us 30 days notice, either by email or written notice. These details are available on our website.

I'll pop you an email so we can get your details and get this sorted for you.
The unused data will appear on there, however as Timbo_UK mentions you will currently see the individual sessions only, not the total usage. If you export this to a spreadsheet you can set up a quick function to total the amount for you. This has been fed back to see if a data total can be included, so this may be upgraded in the future.
In the meantime, there is also our "My Vodafone" app available which does include a data allowance check. it's free to download as well and really easy to use.

I also used to be able to use the 44555 service, but this no longer shows usage data anymore. I cant get a decent answer out of Vodafone web support to why this no longer works. Their last answer simple said and I quote, "there maybe a technical problem." Well, I know that, but what is going to be done about it!?
Anyway, I digress, but I am getting fed up of VF customer service at the minute!

My vodafone app does not work. Already tried that one,and in all correspondence from vodafone it clearly states you can't check iPad data in my vodafone account.I really think vodafone need to get there act together because in the few short days I've been a customer there customer care is shocking.

1. Can't activate online account as Vodafone insist on sending secret code to the iPad, which cannot display it.
2. Customer telephone services havent a clue what to do. promise to phone back and dont.
3. The "My Vodafone" app wont download any account info - just hangs. (appeared to verify OK over 3G)
4. In response to an Email to customer services, they took 2 days to reply and told me to download "VMC" to manage the "datacard" on my iPad. Clearly they havent a clue what an iPad is!
5. I'm running out of patience! My iPhone is on O2 and have been happy for 2 years. Think I may cancel my Vodafone account.
