iPhone 3GS Unlocked - APPARENTLY!? Help needed. Not worked. Vodafone No Help

Hi,

I asked for my apple iPhone 3GS to be unlocked.

I paid for it.

They sent me an email from NUC Resolutions saying that all I need to do was connect it to iTunes and it should be unlocked. (Reference Number 430085)

NOTHING HAS BEEN UNLOCKED! I connected it to iTunes and it says that it is unable to contact the server, and I have put another carrier's SIM into it, and checked that it is the correct IMEI number.

And I called Vodafone customer services and the guy on phone was of NO HELP whatsoever as he said 'Errr it must be a problem with iTunes, I will escalate it to NUC'

Even though this is no help because NUC told me to just check the standard problems list that they had.

I am going round and round in circles here and I have paid for a service that has done nothing for me.

someone has to help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I wanted to do was Unlock my iPhone 3GS through the correct legal route - the Carrier. But no, all I got was rubbish service, no communication, and no answers.

Please help. Someone. Before I go entirely insane here. Cheers.

Hi feishmeister,

Thanks for your posts here.

I must admit that this is a bit of a strange one as when looking at the reference that you have provided I can see that the device has been successfully unlocked.

When you connect the iPhone to iTunes you will need to use a none Vodafone network SIM in the phone such as O2 or Orange and providing that iTunes can connect to the internet on the PC you should be able to unlock the device however you may also need to do a restore through iTunes to get the new carrier settings for the SIM you have in the iPhone.

Please give this a go and let me know how you get on so I can raise this back to our NUC team if required.

Hi James,

- I have tried both a tmobile and orange sim card when connecting it to iTunes, but had no luck.

I have tried everything you have told me and there is still an error message as I wrote above in my previous post.

NUC did not even help me they just told me the same thing that you did - is there anyway I can just get this phone unlocked???

iPhone 3GS ONGOING UNLOCK PROBLEM

I recently paid to unlock my iPhone.

I also recently put a post in this forum about it.

A tech guy responded to me with a PM, to which I responded to.

Then, vodafone called me and did not help me as he just asked me whether I was on Pay as you go or contract, and then Hung up the phone!!

He did not even ask me about the problem I was having with unlocking my iPhone!

So I am back to square one with regards to getting any further help.

Can someone just help me out here????? . Reference number: 430085
