iPhone 5 Network unlock from NZ

Hey there,

I need to help my brother get his iPhone 5 unlocked. He has recently moved back to NZ but can't use it because it is locked to Vodafone UK.

Also, we can't retrieve his IMEI code because we restored the iPhone thinking it would work and it didn't.

Can someone help us please?

Hi

He just needs to follow this link https://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/unlock-code-request/ as long as he is the original owner of the iPhone on the Vodaphone network.

Restoring an iPhone would not affect its Imei number.

To obtain the Imei number you can ->

Check on the original box.

Dial into the iPhone's phone app keypad *#06#

Settings-General-About.

Hook up to iTunes.

As he won't be able to retrieve the IMEI via the keypad as the phone needs activating and if he does not have the original box he should find the IMEI on the sim card holder (providing it has not be replaced). The phone can normally be connected to your brother's iTunes to view the IMEI number but it will not show in iTunes until it is activated.

Also he will need to be the person that completes the NUC form as he was the original owner and use his email address on the form as Vodafone will not correspond with anyone but the original owner.
