iPhone personal hotspot

When trying to set up my personal hotspot I get the following message, visit Vodafone help.... This link doesn't help at all and having emailed twice and called customer services twice I am at a loss as to where to go next! Please help!

might be better if you gave a little more info and someone else might be able to help...

 

what screen does it give the message? you go settings, personal hotspot, then it comes up?

 

What tariff are you on? Presumably it includes tethering?

 

My iPhone lost even having the option for personal hotspot a few days ago and needed to reset all the network settings from the phone, it then took about 5 minutes to download them again then has appeared again and working fine, could be worth trying that?

Hi Kath30,

 

From what you have said it sounds like the price plan that you are on currently doesn’t include tethering for the iPhone and as a result the Access Point isn’t on the network for you which is why you are unable to activate the feature and it links you to he help centre.

Hi James, I have the same issue as a number of people here, I have a monthly vodafone account and an iPhone 4, I cannot setup the hotspot, do I have to upgrade to an iPhone contract?  The iPhone contracts seem to be an extra £10+, what other advantages are there?

He tethering option is now built into our latest price plans for you however; we will need to take a look at the account to verify what we can do for you.
