iPhone unlock status

Hi there,

 

I have recently sumitted the unlock request form (#9048815), can I please be updated on the status of my request?

Thanks for your post here.

 

When did you request the unlock? It can take 48 hours for the unlock to process.

 

Have you tried hooking your phone up to iTunes with the non Vodafone SIM inserted and synchronising? This is how the unlock is achieved so give it a go and let me know how you get on.

hi i have iphone 4 locked to vodafone, i live in cyprus, and this mobile is about 2 years old, so for sure the contract had finished, i would like to ask u vodafone to factory unlock it to me, as its old now.

my imei nomber is (removed for customer security), and my name is alex (surname removed for customer security) and this is my mobile (removed for customer security)

 

pls check it from imei and factory unlock it pls

To unlock a phone the IMEI number needs to be active on the Vodafone UK network and the request for unlocking must be made by the person to who the phone was supplied on contract.

 

If the phone was originally a PAYG phone then it can be unlocked for £20, but it still needs to be active on the UK newtwork to do so as you need to top up a PAYG sim for the process.

 

BTW it is not a good idea to make public either your IMEI number nor your phone number / name.
