iPhone virus

I received a text from a number coming up as 'work' but I don't have any contacts saved under that name. It came had a link in the message, so I clicked on it and it came up with a webpage, and popups. When I went on the internet later I got some popups too. Today I've recieved a whatsapp message from someone saying that they've received 2 missed calls and a text from me saying about owing their bank money, what do I do?

Hi

In my time using many mobile phones I've yet to come across a phone virus on an iPhone.  sandbox their iOS so tightly.

I would suggest you delete any links and ignore these pop ups and payment demands as they sound like a scam made to scare the owner into action.

go into settings and do the following.

Settings - Safari - Clear History and Website Data.

Let's see if this removes these pop ups etc.

Let us know how you get on.
