ipad my Vodafone and checking account issues

I just got a sim for my iPad 3G. since I'll get charged £2.50 for every 250Mb really want to keep track of usage. Tried calling Vodafone, but girls didnt seme to have a clue. So far have tried
Sim Applications/My Vodafone - configuring then "cannot complete service. Seems this is the place to monitor my account. Any idea how you fix this.
Vodafone App - doesn't work for business users compeltely useless.
Online Account - had a look but can't see anything to do with ipad usage.
if i can't follow the usage I'll probably just turn it off as too dangerous.

Hi guys,
masplin - The unbilled usage will start to show on the online billing once you're into your regular billing cycle. When you take out a new contract, you have a few days "pro rata" until your regular billing cycle - the days between which your bills run and the point when your allowance refreshes - takes effect. During these first few days the proportion of the allowance you have available and your usage won't show. Let us know if you still have issues after the billing period starts.
BUBBABOY07 - what happens when you try to access My Account on the iPad, and are you able to access it via a PC with the same login details?
