Hello,

I can synchronise my iphone 4S with itunes on my PC when it is connected to the PC, but when the phone is plugged in and itunes open ready to sync over wi-fi the computer states 'the iphone is not connected?' yet it is ready to sync and I've selected this option in itunes but it for some reason does not recognise the phone?

A common one people overlook is making sure the phone is plugged in to a power source while syncing, although it sounds like you've covered this. Might we worth having a read through this guide from CNET as a sanity check to make sure all the options are set up correctly
