Re: iphone call failed

[ Edited ]

Hi wallywalts,

Kids is spot on here and the issue could be down to a faulty SIM, I would recommend getting a replacement SIM from your local store, online or if you would prefer us to send one out to you then we can also arrange this.

If you would like us to arrange a new SIM to be sent out please follow the instructions on the PM that I have sent to you and one of the team will get this sorted.

You can find your PM inbox here.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue then we may need to look at a repair as it could be a handset fault that is causing the calls to drop.

Re: iphone call failed

You must be a mind reader because thats exactly what I did today at Lunchtime without even seeing this message!

They were really helpful and swapped the sim over no questions asked. This evening I made a test phone call and left it on for 30 mins before hanging up - this is actually 15 mins longer than my record for a phone call without it saying "call failed" so things are looking up.

Will post back if I get another call failed or even if I don't

Re: iphone call failed

Well today got a "Call Failed" at work (Soho) after only 20 seconds... so it seems it doesnt matter where I am it still happens which says to me maybe the phone is dodgy but then why would it work perfectly on Three?

Are you able to try a Three sim card in it now to check it it still works on that network? It could be a fault with the phone itself has developed since you switched from Three.

You appear to have exhausted most options so it could be worthhile making an appointment with an Apple Genius who can run a diagnostic test of the software for you. It is also worth checking that the sim holder is not damaged in some way that could affect it making a connection at times.
