on my iPhone 5c I can't link my phone number to FaceTime and iMessage, I've tried everything.

Hi

 

Ia your number listed in Settings,Phone,My Number. 

 

In iMessages ensure a tick is next to your number.

Settings > FaceTime and complete the fields below "You can be reached by FaceTime at"

 

iMessage: Settings > Messages > iMessage. Toggle iMessage to ON. iMessage uses both your Apple ID and your phone number.
