unlock iphone

hi my father in law has gave my son an iphone 4 but he was on t mobile and my son is on vodaphone,how do i get it unlocked.i rang up vodaphone they told me to fill out form on the website,done that but got massage saying that that phone is not on my account.i know that so how do i do it thanks.

You are going to have to ask your Father in Law to help you with this.  The phone is locked to tmobile and will need to be unlocked against your Father in Laws tmobile account.
