The information you need is available on the website on the following link :

Vodafone Premium Rate Number Charges

If you are going to be calling 08 numbers on a regular basis, there is an 08 number bundle which Customer Services can add to your account its £2.50 for 100 minutes or £5.00 per month and you are able to use your inclusive minutes.

Or go to http://www.saynoto0870.com/ and see if there is an alternative geographical number which will then come out of your inclusive minutes, Also www.simonmaddox.com produce an app called '0870' and this is availalble from the iTunes store App store. You dial the 08+ number and it then searches its database for a geographical number which you can then opt to call.

Another way is to dial the internatiol code '+44' then drop the first zero of the number and dial the remainder. As +44 is a UK number it will come out of your inclusive minutes. Not all 08+ numbers are dialiable using this method and if they do not accept this method of calling you will just be told the number does not accept this type of call.

kids, don't recommend this methos as it will still charge unless you have the 0845/0870/freephone bundle.

Not sure which of the three methods you are referring to but all 3 optimise a geographical number.

I have used all 3 for more than two years and have not incurred any charges, if a number you enter as an 08+ number does not accept that type of call ( to a geographical number) you receive a message telling you that an alternative is not available. It works fine for all numbers from the 0800 + range.

Method 1. Shows an alternative landline No. if available

Method 2. Uses an 01 or 02 number to connect you if there is an available No.

Method 3. Simply diverts the call to a landline No. if the company/organisation  accepts call to an alternative Geo location No.
